21st Century Technology and Skills Close to Home
Some of the greatest strides in medicine in recent years have been made possible by advancements in imaging technology. Today, physicians work together using real-time pictures of the body not only to diagnose, but also treat emergencies and even prevent them.
By combining the best in imaging technology with the skills of board-certified vascular specialists, ARA Health Specialists and Carolina Vascular are able to provide treatment close to home for aneurysms, carotid artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, stroke and varicose veins. Our team has full privileges at Mission Hospital.
Before ARA Health Specialists and Carolina Vascular joined forces in 2002, patients in North Carolina’s western-most counties had to travel outside the region for this level of specialized, life-saving care. Today, it is just a phone call away.
Carolina Vascular’s facility is conveniently located off I-240 at 222 Asheland Avenue. It includes a non-invasive Vascular Laboratory and two on-site Magnetic Resonance Angiography and Imaging (MRA and MRI) scanners. Our non-invasive Vascular Laboratory is ICAVL-accredited and offers carotid, aortic, visceral, lower extremity and venous studies. All technologists are Registered Vascular Technologists. Studies may be ordered with or without concurrent physician consultation.
